With Australian ICDP membership imminent, join us to kick-start Australia’s participation in the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program!

ICDP membership will connect Australian and international scientists to terrestrial drilling capability and logistical support as well as open new possibilities for local projects and international collaborations.

At this workshop, hosted by the University of Adelaide, you’ll find out more about the capabilities, infrastructure and opportunities provided by ICDP membership. There will also be a chance to discuss future project ideas.
We’re thrilled to have ICDP Executive Director, Prof. Marco Bohnhoff participating.
Anyone interested in drilling-based projects under the umbrella of ICDP’s primary science themes – Geodynamic processes, Geohazards, Georesources & Environmental change – is invited to attend. If you already have ideas for topics to discuss, please get in touch.

When?
The Workshop runs from 8:30am – 6:30pm on June 13 and 14, 2024.
Virtual attendance will be from 9am – 5pm.
ECR Subsidy
The Australia New Zealand IODP Consortium (ANZIC) is offering a limited number of subsidies for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to attend its ICDP Workshop, hosted by the University of Adelaide. The subsidy aims to encourage and support ECR participation and interest in drilling-based projects. Expression of Interest closes on 30 April 2024. For more information: ECR Subsidy ICDP Workshop
Childcare Subsidy
ANZIC Convenors (University of Adelaide) will reimburse for childcare expenses up to A$100 per day /per child (capped at A$200 per day family) for professional childcare provider or alternatively for a family member to look after a child/ children at the researcher’s home while the researcher is attending the ICDP Workshop. This subsidy is not a substitute for existing childcare costs and will be assessed on the reasonableness of the claim for support.
Parking Subsidy
Keep your receipts for your parking at the Adelaide Zoo on 13-14 June 2024, whilst you attend the ICDP Workshop as we will reimburse you for this expense.
